So Much to Taco Bout

Here is a recap of Taco Fest 2023 benefiting Friends of Lakeview

Where does the Money go?

Have you ever attended Taco Fest, The Low Line or the Low Line Market? What about Trick or Treat on Southport? Have you ever wondered why our streets are so clean, why we have such beautiful planters or public art? Meet Friends of Lakeview. All of these programs are made possible because of Friends of Lakeview! When you arrived at Taco Fest last weekend, you had the option to donate $10 to Friends of Lakeview at the gate. That money is helping to fund these programs that our community loves so much, but would not be possible without your contribution. Thank you to everyone who donated!

Who Won?

Attendees voted for their favorite taco by scanning QR codes and texting in their vote for their favorite Taco. For the fourth year in a row, Tandoor Char House brought home another win!

Fun for the Whole Family

Thanks to SSA 27, children of all ages were able to enjoy the fest. Our kids area included carnival games, face painting, and a balloon artist!

We Came to Rock

International Rock Stars, Modern English, joined us on Sunday evening at our main stage. You may recognize them from their timeless hit: I Melt with You

Welcome Mr. Mayor!

Mayor Brandon Johnson attended Taco Fest. While there, he tried out some of our vendors, interacted with community members, and chatted with Chamber Executive Director, Becca Girsch and Alderman Bennett Lawson
